Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I’m your host Paul and this video we’re breaking down The Mandalorian. Season 3 episode 1 is now here and throughout this video we’re gonnagoing through the brand new entry and all the star wars easter eggs in it.
This season is building off the back of the book of Boba Fett and as I know a lot of you missed that I wanna give a quick recap incase you’re scratching your head over why Grogu and Mando are back together.
In the final handful of episodes we watched Mando finding the armorer which is where he practiced his skills with the darksaber. Because he was at odds with himself he couldn’t properly yeild it and he was told that he needed to regain his honor after removing his helmet.
He must return to the living waters beneath Mandalore which will sort of provide a baptism for the character.
This has left him as an apostate which means someone who has abandoned a religious or political principle. Mandos cult were told not to remove their helmets no matter what and on the opposite side of this we’ve seen Bo Katans group are happy to do this.
This could potentially lead into a civil war and judging by the trailer that’s the way that things could be going. We’ve had the death watch battling the pacifist leaders of Mandalore and Civil Wars throughout the saga so it’s definitely on brand. Each side always tend to seek the Darksaber which is gonna become a big weapon in this season.
After gaining a new ship he went to visit Luke and Grogu in order to find peace but after some advice from Ahsoka he decided not to interfere with his training. However, Ellie…sorry Grogu decided to go back to his dad and we watched as the pair were reunited towards the end of the season.
Now from here on out it’s full spoilers ahead so if you haven’t had a chance to check it out then I highly recommend that you check out now. If you enjoy the video then you will hit the thumbs up button, doing a little jedi mind trick there and make sure you subscribe for videos like this every day.
With that out the way, thanks for clicking this, now let’s get into The Mandalorian Season 3.

Am I the only one that noticed the mistake where Greef Karga greets Din he says "high magistrate", the next scene you can see carl weathers mouth the same line as he is shaking Din's hand, I thought I lost sound when I first noticed it
The Cara Dune character sucked anyway. Terrible actress, stupider person. Good riddance. She can go back to her lame wrestling storylines or whatever crappy right-wing movie she's making now. She can enjoy acting with Kirk Cameron and Scott Baio.
Congrats on the house!
Jude law skeleton crew is obi wans brother
Ayyyyee whatayaknow, a Disney series you’re excited about!
Dude, you shouldn't have to apologise for being a good responsible adult.
Thanks for being a awesome channel.
Is this woman Mandalorian an old one faithful to Darth Maul because of the horns on her helmet? Just wondering. 0:50
Congratulations on the move Paul and life. I have a backstory like you, I’m just not doing YouTube. Yet I get the struggle and I definitely respect you. Well you can tell you’re one of the most humble people on this platform. I appreciate you because you’re a rare one friend. Cheers! 🍻
PS Never apologize for life stuff man. You’re a normal person like all of us 🙂🦾
Absolutely love the start of this season. Including the dad jokes! Much prefer mando to Bobba 🙂 thanks for the breakdown
Who currently still has the darth saber? Does din djarin still have it ?
Hopefully the pirates play into Hondu miss that guy man 😂😂
It seems everyone missed Asoka's owl on top of IG-11's statue..
Looks like they went an purchased that helmet from their local Walmart.
I found the lasers the heavy mando fires are pretty weak, it's just a normal blaster but more cumbersome, if he had starship level damage, it'll be worthwhile but just a bigger gun, seems a bit pointless, but ep was great overall.
“You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch, you really are a heal.”😂
I thought of Anakin crawling after Obi Wan on Mustafar after he’d cut his legs off during the scene of the robot trying to kill Grogu
Shit was way too short and hurried….. cheap mf’s
Never forget though Pedro called half of America Nazis with no repercussions and then they got rid of the best actor on the show, Gina Carano. Season 3 will never be as good. If this triggers you then great
This episode sucked, and The Book of Boba Fett fucked everything up. The Grogu arc was over… He shouldn't be here… I'm pissed.
This looked like shit… Those young Mandolorian helmets looked like trash. I could get a better looking helmet on Etsy.
Not to mention that kids speech impediment bugged.
All in all, I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not even looking forward to the next episode, since it's just going to be about them trying to find some part.
Also, why was the kids visor so huge on his helmet?
sorry gave you a thumbs down because of the anti gun commercial added to your critique.
Remember that time “Book of Boba Fett” sucked so bad, Disney had to replace the trash Fett episodes with Mandalorian Season # 3 episodes to get an audience and the timeline was all ** up?
Excellent, succinct breakdown yet again for one of many shows I regularly watch. Can't wait to see IG-11 reanimated to help Mando and Grogu crush stormtroopers when G.A. Thrawn makes his appearance to link with the upcoming Ahsoka series (my guess). I have to admit, this is the first time my old soul has left a comment on YouTube for anyone for anything…you always crack me up, Paul, very entertaining. Family first, bruh, no sorry required.
Thank you Paul we appreciate the work put on this video and be patient with the move.
My wife and I finally bought a house after renting places for the last 32 years (yes we have been married that long!)
When is Ezra coming?
Mando strikes from shadows like batman completely EEEWWWed me. Trash batman
Time stamp – 8:47
The bird on top of the IG-11 statue is similar to the one that follows Ahsoka, Morai
Come on, Disney! Could we possibly squeeze in another 15 minutes from you? It's like damn this is awesome, then Disney shorts the episode. Before we know it, it will be down to 8 – 20 minute episodes. I feel short-changed. 😒😔
what was gorgu seeing in hyperspace? reminded me of that episode in Rebels with those god like beings
Stop with Easter Eggs and start writing good stories again.
Is no one getting the pirate captain easter egg? He is definitly inspired by the pirate captain LeChuck from the Monkey Island games . Even the voice is similar. Being LucasArt games, this can´t be a coincidence.
I thought it was old Greg
Lake Placid was awesome! R.I.P. Betty White.
lmfao for whatever reason, I thought that whole alligator attack scene was a flashback at first…then the ‘thing’ happened
Thought it was a good start to what should be an exciting season. I still don’t know how I feel about Greef’s character arc. I feel like they’re doing with him what they did with Boba and rather than making him a “good guy” with a rough past that isn’t afraid to use his skills and grit, they’re making him “Disney” without any flaws or immoral traits. That’s not real people, that’s truly just a character…
Going from andor writing to this hurt my feelings. Hopefully the story gets better and less goofy
I think you might have just summed up the season. Somehow they’re going to be able to remove their helmets- if they’re all apostates, none of them are. Solves a lot of problems on the whole, imo from production and storytelling standpoints.
