  1. Night furies and lightfuries are different species but close enough to breed

  2. I saw this film in cinema and man did it hit me in feelings, this franchise was a huge part of my life growing up. Such a bittersweet ending to finish the franchise<3

  3. Grimmel was always a cool villain to me, you can see what hiccup could have become if he killed toothless instead of befriending him

  4. This tail was used in “gift of the night fury”, it works by having an additional rod on the side of his tail that he can control to mimic the other side

  5. This trilogy means so much to me and it’s so dang beautiful. I’m glad you enjoyed this series.

There’s a fun joke people have- look up pictures of John Krasinski compared to hiccup.(young, young adult, and adult) He’s literally the same guy😂

  6. Without showing the FOOLS, one doesn't see all the problems a hero has to work thru, they are supposed to be annoying. It is called REAL LIFE.

  7. This one always hurts so much at the end, especially that moment of just ripping your heart out with the clip show of the important moments… 😭

  8. I see a lot of people say grimmel is supposed to be a mirror version of hiccup, if he had killed toothless instead of befriending him

  9. I think with all the dragons and just the craziness of the movies people tend to forget these guys are vikings, vikings were not usually nice people in the first movie you see what vikings are, they fight and kill. Everyone hunts dragons its the norm

I think Grimmel is supposed to show the path hiccup could have followed if he killed toothless and continued the normal viking way, I think his motivations are great he's viking. Love him as a villian

This is my faviourte animated trilogy so I'm very happy you got to watch it aswell thank you.

  10. The series is great! Especially the later race to the edge part. It basically never feels like it breaks cannon, it develops the characters you love more and you simply get more how to train your dragons honestly which is reason enough for me in the first place.

  11. Night Fury and Light Fury are similar but different. Light Fury are not female Night Furies. They are like two different breeds of dogs. Both dogs, both compatible to mate, but different attributes.

  12. F Murray Abraham voiced Khonshu in Moon Knight

  13. Your questions at the new tail if you think about it there's the intact part of the tail and the man-made part of the tail, the gears that move the man-made tail are attached to a rod which is attached to the intact part of the tail so in effect the organic natural half moves the man-made half so they both move as one.

Also dunno if you'd be up to it to check out dragons the nine realms set in the 21st century the dragons return some don't like it but I think it's pretty cool.

  14. Yep, the ending of this movie made me bawl like a baby! It's my favorite of the trilogy, as well. And darn, does it make me wish dragons were real! Loved the reaction, as always. I cannot get over your laugh!

  15. F. Murray Abraham played Salieri in Amadeus (which you really ought to see) and also Konshu in Moon Knight.

  16. It is so rare for the third film in a franchise to be so strong and to wind up the progression of the story. I love this series so much, but this third one had it all, an interesting story, the beautiful settings, enjoyable characters and the emotional ending. Perfection!

  17. F. Murray Abraham (Grimmel) is Khonshu in Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight

  18. Such a beautiful movie. I hated to see it end. Thank you for reacting.

  19. This is one of the few animations that excede some of Pixar's work. This, the Iron Giant and Arcane are on a different level.

  20. The shows really have some of the best moments in the series. And if you like all the unique designs, you would love what the shows have to offer.

  21. I've been waiting SO LONG for this reaction video! I knew it was going to be so funny to watch! Thanks for sharing as always!!! 😍

  22. Question about something outside this video. When it comes to sub vs dub on foreign films or shows, how much difference does it really make? I can keep up when reading so I always do dub if available and I do not feel as though I missed anything that made the show or movie suffer. Are there any shows or films that suffer for not watching the dub version? This is something i have been thinking about alot since watching reactions.

  23. I love these movies, im suggesting watch the short How to train your dragon homecoming its adorable.

  24. The How To Train Your Dragon trilogy is my favorite movie franchise ever made! I'm glad that you enjoyed it! Great reaction!

  25. I wish they gave more screentime to Grimmel, to further flesh out his character. He's obviously the antithesis of Hiccup. He is what Hiccup would have been if he killed Toothless. Grimmel's skinny compared to the series' stereotypical adult male Viking, he's smart, and he relies on his creative inventions. If Hiccup killed Toothless in movie 1, Berk & his dad would crown him a hero, and he and the Berk people would go on collecting glory by killing the biggest and rarest dragons they could find.

In movie 1: "I'm gonna kill a dragon, because killing a dragon is everything around here."

  26. This is my Absolute Favorite of the Trilogy, and It's a Shame that it's criminially underrated and it doesn't deserve the hate

  27. literally sob so hard EVERYTIME. After losing two pets its just rough….but this film is so pretty

  28. I think f Murray Abraham was the voice of Khonshu in MoonKnight. Its probably whwre you heard his voice from.
Although i just found out that he was fired last month.

  29. The main confusing thing about the villian is they made it clear this is Dark Hiccup who killed Toothless for his tribe's approval and learned to enslave dragons rather than befriend them.

But he works alone and betrays his allies, so it's no longer about the praise or reverence. He's basically just a Nazi of dragons. Doesn't seem too fond of humans either.

So as you said, what his motivation other than be a dick.

But I suppose that makes sense. If Hiccup had jumped to stardom after killing Toothless he wouldn't have made friends with the other kids. He wouldn't had needed them. He would have spent his time making better weapons to help him kill more dragons to get more fame. Killing Toothless would have been a solo deed.

  30. There is a movie that has a a storyline about the last scene aka 10 years later after they get married. Its name is "How to train your dragon homecoming" i really raccomend you watching it its just a 30 min short film

  31. In Germany, we have a themepark with an extra how to train a Dragon Themed Part. The Musik is playing all day, the rides are all how to train a dragon themed. Look it up. It is sooo sweet and gorgus. It is in the "Heidepark Soltau" ❤ My son loves to ride the different dragons, and in some days, there are animatronic dragon puppets too

  32. I HIGHLY recomend you watch Gift of the night fury and Httyd: Homecoming, theyre both Christmas specials. Gift of the night fury is before movie 2 and Homecoming is after the 3rd one. Theyre all so well done. Theyre botg just 30 minutes long. Hope too see it!

  33. I really love the httyd franchise, it was a huge part of my childhood, both the movies and the tv series

i actually would really recommend checking out the tv shows too since you enjoyed the movies so much
"riders of berk", "defenders of berk" and "race to the edge" all take place between the first and second movie and they expand a lot on the world building, introduce and focus on a lot of new dragon species, and the side characters also have more time to shine and get fleshed out a lot
(the short films are great as well, my personal favorites are "gift of the night fury" and "homecoming")

regarding your question about the light furies, i believe they are a subspecies of the night fury, im not 100% sure though so id really appreciate it if someone could confirm that for me or correct me if im wrong

  34. 14:25 When the light fury tosses Hiccup, I love Toothless’s reaction. His expression is like um, that would be my human. I need that, so I’m just going to go get him now. Bye.

  35. When you asked "How?" about the tail – think of it this way, modern prosthetics are controlled by muscle behavior/electric impulses. That's how they get the clamps to work with hands and stuff. And although everything in the movie seems old school as far as dragons and such, we'll have to believe Hiccup got the tail to work based on Toothless' muscle movements.

  36. This was such a great trilogy. I love when animated films can appeal to both kids and adults

  37. This one absolutely killed me at the end. I was a goddamn mess 😭

  38. There is also christmas special that came out after third part, i watched i love this and i can be sure you will too

  39. I like that they didn't really change any of the character's designs that heavily in this movie since the time jump is only supposed to be a year, unlike the last movie where a lot of Hiccup's crew had their designs changed up quite a bit due to the 5-year jump; however, I do think it's a nice (and funny, frankly) touch that they showed that at least SOME time had passed between this movie and the last by giving Fishlegs a mustache.

  40. 16:36 Toothless doing that stupid chicken dance-esque thing made me and my friends laugh so hard when we saw this in theaters.

  41. 23:02 You're kinda right, while I personally like Drago better as a villain (sorry), it seemed like a lot of what Drago did was for revenge for what happened to his village (and his body.) While with Grimmel, it's as simple as him being praised for killing one dragon and letting it go to his head to the point where he just continues to kill them in order to keep chasing that euphoric high.

Also, you'll notice how he mentions he drugs the dragons into obeying him; it's actually possible Drago did the same thing with his alpha in the last movie, which is why it listens to him in the first place, and probably also why it can mind control.

  42. Ruffnut is my favorite. She's such a wild card, she's definitely NOT ladylike in any way, shape, or form (in a good way though), and even though she doesn't think about the consequences of her actions AT ALL, it's hilarious to watch said actions play out. Also, Kristen Wiig kills the voice every time.

  43. 29:47 I'm sure you caught this already but Astrid going, "What are you going to do about it?" followed by Hiccup going, "Probably something stupid," is a callback to the first movie when literally the exact same dialogue was used in a similar exchange. And ironically, the positions of where they were standing are pretty much the same, the camera points to them at pretty much the same angle, and they're standing at the edge of a cliff both times.

  44. The Hobgobler is basically a Dragon Tribble (Star Trek Reference)
